Bonnie Onita Skeen

Bonnie Onita Skeen, 95, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Houston, Texas. She was a wonderful example of a genuinely loving, caring and kind wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her family was what brought her the most joy through her life and she lived everyday hoping their dreams would come true. She was born October 12, 1923 in Texarkana, Texas to Otis C. Hooker and Ruthie Clark Hooker. Bonnie’s husband Louie L. Skeen, son Donald W. Skeen, brother James E. Hooker, sister Geraldine Hooker Hudgins, and grandsons Charles (Chuck) L. Herrington and Richard (Ricky) Herrington preceded her in death. Bonnie is survived by her children, Charles R. Skeen and his wife Pam Morris Skeen, Sherry A. Skeen and husband Jeffrey L. Spargo, Step Children: Dale L. Skeen and Nelda J. Skeen Herrington; Grandchildren: Charles R. Skeen Jr., Steven Skeen, Michelle L. Ross, Kristie L. Ross and Sarah S Spargo; Great Grandchildren: Jordan Arcangeli, Nathaniel Overby, Michael Overby, Allyson Skeen, McKenna Skeen, Tyler Skeen, Alysa Skeen, Trevor Skeen. Bonnie is also survived by her brother Owen Hooker and his wife Patricia Hooker of Longview, TX. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 10 AM – 11 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Colonial Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
