Brandon La’Brian Arnold was born on July 11, 1994, to Cementri (Arnold) Carter in New Orleans, LA at University Hospital. He was raised by Melvin Haywood. He was the middle child and the only boy. Brandon transitioned to eternal life at the HCA Healthcare North Campus on Monday, June 27, 2022. He was 27 at the time of passing.
As a child, Brandon loved drawing, karate, football, basketball, video games, spending time with family, and food amongst other things. In 2000, he relocated to Houston, TX with his mother and sisters in pursuit of greater opportunities. He received his GED and entered the workforce. Brandon was always a bright light that could illuminate any room. He had an infectious smile and sense of humor. As an adult, he was fascinated by books and intellectual conversations. You could often find him in the midst of a debate about life and its complexities. Brandon devoted his life to Christ at an early age and he restored his promise ahead of being called home.
Brandon was a beloved son, a dedicated uncle, and loving brother. Although he was the middle child, he presented himself as everybody’s big brother. Brandon will truly be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Dorothy Broglin and his great grandmother Cementry “Mikki” Arnold. He will live on through his mother Cementri (Arnold) Carter, his father Melvin Haywood, his mentor and stepfather Jesse Carter, his sisters Tiera Pazon and Latessha Arnold, his stepbrother Jalen Carter, his nephew Jeremiah Robertson, his grandmothers Wanonieca Haynes and Janie Carter, his grandfather Bernard Haynes, his aunts and uncles, a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
