Carlos Garza, 87, of Houston, passed away Tuesday, the 9th of April 2013. He was born February 8, 1926 to Librado and Concepcion Garza in General de Teran, Mexico. He was married to Maria Del Refugio in 1951. Carlos Garza was the manager for renowned Monterrey, Mexico restaurant El Regio before moving with his family to Houston, TX in 1978. He would go on to retire from Fiesta Mart in 1991. He was a devoted member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, and was very passionate about youth involvement, volunteering for the Youth Group until he became ill. He also loved playing games with his family, and was never far from a domino or card game. Carlos is survived by eight children; Juanita De La Garza; Maria Contreras; Carlos Garza; Santa Creado; Maria Del Refugio Garza; Lucia Rojas; Gerardo Garza; and Arnold Garza, all of whom reside in the Houston area. He also is survived by eighteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, April 11th at Forest Park Funeral Home. Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 12th at Forest Park Cemetery.
