I realized as soon as I  met Carolyn that her children were her top priority. I was fortunate enough to receive some of her mothering when she felt I needed it.  One of my fondest memories was the day I visited Carolyn with my daughter when she was a toddler, we talked as mothers do, laughed about the things our kids had done or said, I felt like I was a grownup in her eyes. She had a wonderful laugh and a beautiful smile.  I have been friends with her daughter, Liz, for more than 40 years, I’m proud to say I was friends with her mother, too, and I will miss my friend.
