Caryl Riley, 83, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2013. Caryl was born on October 28, 1930 to Alma Jean Shepherd and John Ewell Lovejoy in Dallas, TX. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and attended Sam Houston State University. Caryl retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was married to Julius ("Jeff") Riley on November 26, 1940. Caryl was an active member in the Bay Area Christian Church and the Daughters of American Revolution. Caryl is preceded in death by her parents. Caryl is survived by her husband Jeff Riley and her children, Linda Lambert, James Riley and Shirley Ghattas. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Darington, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 2pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, and a reception at Bay Area Christian Church following the service.
