Catherine Dora Cooper

Catherine Dora Cooper, born July 9, 1933 to John and Eleanor Cole, passed away February 24, 2011 in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Elwood Cooper. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Albert S. Cooper, Jr.; children, Albert S. Cooper III and wife, Patricia, Bradford Shane Cooper, Sr., and Dode Fawn Cooper; grandchildren, Bradford Shane Cooper, Jr., Kathleen Michelle Weed and husband, Josh, Alyson Nicole Cooper, Matthew Albert Cooper, Cori Reneé Cooper, and Christopher Allen Cooper; sisters, Betty Kratz and Clara Henrietta Loughery and husband, Paul; sister-in-law, Shirley Cooper, other extended family and many friends.

Mrs. Cooper was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her family and lived for her grandchildren, to whom she was known as GeGe. She was so proud of her grandchildren and all they accomplished. They were her daily inspiration.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Heights Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Houston National Cemetery.
