

Cazell Murray Latin, Jr. was born on September 3, 1968 to Cazell Latin, Sr. and Recie Lee Latin. When Cazell was very young, his father died, and his mother remarried, Sterling Matthews, Sr. Together they raised him in the admonition of the Lord.
Cazell was a native Houstonian; and grew up in the Rosewood area. He graduated from Forest Brook High School, Class of 1987. Upon graduation, he entered the workforce. He became a diligent, loyal, and devoted worker. He worked in the Water Treatment Industry for thirty years. He began working with Echolochem (GE), Siemans Water now Evoqua Water Technologies.
Distinctive qualities of Cazell were: he was truly a man who was set apart, humble, a man of prayer who lived his life on purpose.
His love for family and friends was unmatched; he treasured them. He also loved anything to do with cars. Other things he liked were watching cooking shows, movies and documentaries. In fact, he loved life…and he lived to live again.
He was preceded in death by all of his parents: Cazell Latin, Sr., Recie Lee Matthews, and Sterling Matthews, Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Ella Murray; and Sister-In-Law, Tonya Robinson-Lindsey (Winnie).
He leaves to mourn his transition his soul mate and helpmeet, Charlott E. (Latin) Clay, four siblings: Darryl Lindsey, Sterling Matthews, Jr. (Anjeanetta), Carlotta Maxwell (Jake), Sharre Close, a host of nieces and nephews (too many to name), one Godson and Goddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends.
