Celeste was raised in the Acres Home Area. She attended M.C. Williams High School. Celeste had eight siblings who played and loved hard. Famihttps://admin.mem.com/sso/newde/9199526#keepsake/folderly was near and dear to her. She met and fell in love with Tommy Benson, her sweetheart. They produced their one and only child, Ola Launita Harrison. She worked for many years in retail where she met and made many friends. Celeste enjoyed parties and yearly celebrations. She enjoyed her favorite musical group Frankie Beverly and Maze and never missed a Dallas Cowboys game.
Celeste really loved and enjoyed her grandchildren Cortney, Pierre and Jasmine. Her great grandchildren really took to her. She was referred to them by the name "Granny."
A lifetime of love was shared with family. She was proceeded in death by one brother, Cornelius "Bubba" Atkinson. She is survived by siblings Hosea Eugene "Bo-didly" Atkinson, Jack "Junior" Atkinson, Richard "Ricky" Atkinson, Lena Joyce Jefferson, Merrie Lynn Atkinson, Sandra Kay Atkinson, Lisa Ann Richard; Daughter Ola Harrison' son-in-law, Lofton Harrison; Grandchildren, Cortney Atkinson and wife Rachel Atkinson, Pierre Atkinson and Jasmine Byrd and husband Christopher Byrd; six great grandchildren Deion Atkinson, Nevaeh Jones, Camrin Atkinson, Jaiden Byrd, Cai Atkinson, Landon Byrd.
