Chandler Michael Jahn, 21 of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on November 13, 2019 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born November 20, 1997 in Houston, Tx to Timothy and Lisa (Mitschke) Jahn. Chandler never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. He loved and enjoyed the outdoors; hanging out at the farm working with cattle, mowing acre after acre of land; fishing, and sitting by the fire listening to music with his family. He was self-sufficient and enjoyed helping others with their projects. He enjoyed going to the off-road park riding his 4-wheeler with his friends, fixing anything motorized, especially his truck and 4-wheeler.
He was a student at the University of Houston (U of H) working toward a degree in Construction Management and currently had some offers for spring and summer 2021 employment. He was involved with the American Builders and Contractors (ABC) student chapter at U of H where he met many great friends. He loved going to U of H football games where the tailgating events were more important than the game itself.
Chandler is survived by his parents, Tim and Lisa Jahn; brother, Brandon Jahn; grandmothers, Carolyn Mitschke and Norma Jahn; aunt, Kristie Mischke; aunt and uncle, Rhonda and Wade Wood; uncle and aunt, Phil and Cindy Jahn; cousins Casey, Matthew, Haley, Evan, and Tyler, with numerous other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Clarence Mitschke and Stanley Jahn; aunt Karen Villers and cousin Andrew Jahn.
He was loved greatly by all who know him will be greatly missed by all both young and old.
Visitation will be Monday, November 18, 2019 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at First United Methodist Church Sugar Land. Burial services will be at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery on Tuesday at 1:30 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Baudler, Marshall Matthes , Jamie Archeneaux, Robert Alch, Chandler Scott, and Jordan Walsh.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Sugar Land or the Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) foundation in Chandler’s memory.
