Charlene was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church at an early age. She was married to Michael Leroy Anderson.
Charlene was a licensed cosmetologist and instructor. She enjoyed to the education of cosmetology where she taught at Tomball Beauty College and changed the lives of many people, equipping them with a life long craft and career that they could be proud of. She was also a teacher’s aide in Splendora Independent School District.
Charlene had a passion for cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, listening to music and dancing. She often initiated the Soul Train line at several family functions. She also loved fishing and going to church, but not alone.
Charlene is survived by her children Ginger Rahman (Jamal); her son Michael Leroy Anderson Jr. (Ashley); her daughter Cindy Anderson; and her daughter Wendy Gray (Cody); her brother George Warner; her grandchildren, Michael Rahman (Hannah), Betsy Vincent (Tim), Stephen Rahman (Haley), Katy Anderson, John Holton (Isabella), Nicole Holton, Austin Gray and Joseph Anderson and her great grandchildren Johnathan, Kayley, Bailey, Maisie, Logan, Tony, Lilah and Ayden and three more on the way. She also leaves to cherish her memory her good friend JoAnn Dadds.
Charlene was preceded in death by her husband Michael Leroy Anderson; her mother Margaret Jean Lock and her father Leon Warner; her siblings Johnny Warner, Leon Warner, Freddy Warner,Barbara Warner and Peggy Warner.
A visitation and reception for Charlene will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. at Carl Barnes Funeral Home, 746 W 22nd Street, Houston, TX 77008. She will be laid to rest immediately following the Celebration of Life at Perry Cemetery, 13214 E Cypress Forest Dr, Houston, TX 77070.
