Charles J. Tomczak

Charles James Tomczak, 70, our beloved husband,father,grandfather, and brother went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2011.He was born on January 11,1941, in Hempstead,Texas to Charles Stanley and Connie Frances Tomczak. Charles served his country in the army and married Ella Tafelski on April 24,1965. Charles owned a successful carpet and flooring business for 35 years. He also loved farming and cattle raising and spent a major part of his life in this endeavor. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother-in-law, John Ognosky, and his beloved son James. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years,Ella, his daughter Denise and husband Don Hudson,of Katy,Texas, his son, Joseph, of Houston, grandchildren Rhiannan Hudson, of Winchester, TN., Ryan Hudson and wife Courtney, of Decherd,TN., Robyn and husband Glenn "Buzz" Ray ,of Cowan,TN., Noah James, Aaron Nathaniel, and Jordan Anissa Presley Hudson, all of Katy,TX., 9 great-grandchildren, Alli, Maisie, Vaden, Cameron, Kyleigh, Daisy, Brooklyn, Lilyana, and Miles, four sisters, Albena and husband Raymond Kubeczka, of Houston,TX., Valerie and husband Max Ognowski , of Houston, TX., Rose Ognosky ,of Conroe,TX., Elizabeth and husband Michael Moskal, of Huntsville,TX., nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. A visitation and rosary will be held at Heights Funeral Home,1317 Heights Blvd., Houston, TX. 77008, on Thursday, May 5,2011 from 5 to 8pm. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston,TX. 77018, with Reverend Clint Ressler, officiating. The graveside service and internment will be at Earthman Resthaven following mass at 11:45am. A brunch will be held at the St. Rose of Lima church hall afterwards. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Bill Sowa, Vincent Sowa, Michael Ognowski, Jeffrey Kubeczka, Leonard Tomczak, and Andrew Januhowski. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Petrosky and Stanley Januhowski. Scripture readings will be read by Suzanne Kubeczka and Angela Kovar.
