Charles “Chuck” Vanderpool, left this world, Thursday, May 22, 2014, after a 14 year battle with cancer. A former surfer, born in Los Angeles, California, he worked with KBR for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Laura; brother, Bert Vanderpool; and grandparents, Stella and Bert Vanderpool. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Ellen “Ellie” Vanderpool; daughter, Norine Vanderpool; brother, Jim Vanderpool; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation by visiting www.themmrf.org. Chuck was a wonderful father and husband. He lived for his family. He fought his battle with cancer with a positive attitude and laughter. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and gentleness.
