Charles "Pop "Washington was born on July 4, 1943 to Johnny Lee Gilbert Sr. And Idell Washington. He was an Graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and was a Veteren who serve in the U.S Army during Vietnam war. He was a Truck Driver and worked for Houston Chronicle for 37 years.
