Charlotta Annette O’Bryant, affectionately known as “Charlotte,” was born on November 27, 1956, to Sue Mayfield and Ernest O’Bryant in Houston, Texas. She departed this life on October 23, 2025, at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by both her parents.
Charlotte accepted Christ at an early age and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life. She was an active and devoted member of several churches, including Greater First Baptist Church, St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, and Silverlake Church, where she joyfully served on the Usher Board and participated in numerous ministries.
A proud graduate of Abbeville High School, Charlotte went on to enjoy a career as a FedEx dispatcher for over 25 years. A lifelong learner, she continually sought knowledge to enrich her life and share wisdom with others. Her creative spirit shone through in her love of arts and crafts—whether arranging flowers, sewing, or designing custom decals and t-shirts, she poured her heart into everything she made.
Charlotte was united in marriage to Jimmie Wilton, Jr. from 2001 until 2009.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Rashad; grandchildren, Tyren and Ka’Lyeah; brother, Henry; nieces, Natasha, Sydney, and Peyton; along with a host of godchildren, honorary nieces and nephews, and many beloved friends who will miss her dearly.
