Charlotte Jane Lehman was born on May 13th in Houston, TX, around 5:05am at 21 weeks gestation. The meaning of her names is "Free Man" (Charlotte) and "God's Gracious Gift" (Jane). Because of her young age, a lot of body parts were not ready to fully function outside the womb. She was held and prayed over her by her parents as she made her journey to Heaven with Jesus. She lived about three and a half hours.
Charlotte is survived by her parents, Herman "Gary" & Julie of Houston, TX; sister, Annabelle Jeanne of Houston, TX; grandparents, John & Susan Brasefield of Howell, NJ, Herman Gerhard Lehman III of San Antonio, TX, Marlana & Lee Mertens of Big Spring, TX, and Carol & Tim Munsterman of Sugar Land, TX. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and other loved ones.
A service will be held at Houston's First Baptist Church (7401 Katy Freeway) on Saturday May 28th at 11:00am in the Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the adoption ministry "Legacy685" at Houston's First Baptist Church (http://houstonsfirst.org/the-loop/ministries/adoption-foster-orphan-care/assistance-fund).

Though this situation is sad, we know God has a plan in all this and He is still good. We also find joy and comfort in the hope and anticipation of seeing Charlotte again in Heaven. The outpouring of love and support has been an overwhelming reminder of the wonderful people God places in our lives everyday. Thank you to each and every one of you who has helped, reached out, and prayed for us during this journey. May God bless you!
"For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." (Ps 100:5)
