Charlotte Ann Swonke

Charlotte Ann Swonke, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on May 5, 1943 in Corpus Christi, Texas and raised in Houston, Texas with her two sisters.

Charlotte was a cherished and compassionate individual, known for her faithfulness, generosity, honesty, selflessness, loyalty, and kind-hearted nature. Her thoughtful demeanor touched everyone who knew her.

Charlotte married, the love of her life, Wayne Swonke in 1960, and they built a loving family together. She was the proud mother of her son, Dwane, born in 1964, and her daughter, Kim, born in 1975. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved them dearly. Charlotte's family was her legacy, she adored her children and grandchildren.

Charlotte had a passion for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. She created beautiful ceramics and loved gardening. A devoted fan of the Houston Astros, she found great joy in supporting her favorite team.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Melba Trammell. Survived by son, Dwane Swonke and wife Lora; daughter Kim Swonke and husband Kirk Stephen; grandchildren, Caleb Swonke, Lydia Swonke, Bailey Wilson, Chandler Hausburg and Riley Copeland; sisters, Melba Patterson and Sandra Scardino; Step mother Anne Trammell and step sister Catherine Perry; and numerous family Members.

Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, located at 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on September 16, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Committal services will take place at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.

The family would like to express their appreciation for those who have supported them during this time. Charlotte's kindness and love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
