Chesley P. Bridgewater, age 86, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Born in Marlin, Texas, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who served his country honorably in the Navy. He retired from Houston Lighting and Power Company after over 30 years of service and then owned and operated HUUL for many years. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Jo Bridgewater; son, Greg Bridgewater and wife Debbie; daughter, Nancy Harden; grandchildren, Bryan Bridgewater, Jody Bridgewater, Jared Harden and Chelsea Harden; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Jean Anderson and Linda Keener; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 24, 2017 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
