Chris Randall Carpenter was born on December 7, 1960 in Hammond, Indiana to William "Bill" and Shirley Carpenter. He was called home by the Lord, and reunited with his dad and stepdaughter, Jamie, on July 22, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Andrew and Alex; stepchildren, Ashley, Robert, and Kelly, and twelve grandchildren; mother, Shirley; brothers, Curt, Kent, and Craig; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Chris was raised in Indiana and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in engineering. His love for engineering took him all over the country and eventually landed him in Bakersfield, California, where he raised two sons and a stepdaughter, and later met his wife, Donna, and gained three more stepchildren to love. In recent years, Chris was transferred to Billings, Montana and Houston, Texas, where he worked for Phillips 66. In addition to loving his family and career, Chris also loved all things Purdue, the Raiders, and Chicago White Sox. He also loved and spent his time learning about and trying new things, especially cooking and barbecuing for those he loved. He will forever be greatly missed. Memorial arrangements are pending in Bakersfield, California.
