

Chris Richard Wilkinson, affectionately known by his grandchildren as "Pops," passed away on June 6, 2026, at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family and close friends. He was 69 years old.
Born on November 13th, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Pops was the beloved son of the late Geraldine Virginia Scott and Ordie Franklin Wilkinson Junior. He attended Texas A&M University, a formative time that helped shape his lifelong drive and pursuit of excellence.
Pops was a man of diverse talents and boundless energy. A dedicated certified personal trainer and a self-proclaimed "gym rat," he channeled his passion for fitness into becoming an accomplished triathlete, inspiring countless others to lead healthier lives. Beyond his athletic pursuits, Pops possessed a deep appreciation for beauty and creativity. He expressed this through his hobby of interior design, his talent as an artist, and the time he spent cultivating his garden.
Above all his achievements, his family was his greatest joy. He is survived by his loving husband, Kenneth William Meyer, and his children: Stephanie Nicole Davis, Brian Reese Wilkinson Sr., Brent Richard Wilkinson, and Kimberly Dawn Wilkinson. He was the incredibly proud grandfather of Addison, Katherine, Christopher, Aubrey, Brian Jr., Iris, Elaina, Charlotte, Finnleigh, Aria, Jayden, and Wyatt.
Chris is also survived by his four older brothers, David Bloys Wilkinson, Mike Scott Wilkinson, Ordie Franklin Wilkinson III, and Keith Richey Wilkinson.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine, and his father, Ordie Franklin Wilkinson Junior.
