Christine Glover Lancaster, age 91, passed away January 5, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husbands Douglas Glover and Cecil Lancaster. She was born July 27, 1921 to R. C. and Dora Phillips in Bokchito, Oklahoma and was the "baby" of a very large family. She married Douglas Glover and they had one son, Douglas Glover, Jr. Christine worked for Kroger Food stores for over 40 years. She loved to go out dancing, play cards and dominoes and enjoyed having friends and family over to visit. She had a personality larger than life and a wonderful sense of humor. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. Her charm and wit will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Christine is survived by her loving only child, Douglas Glover, Jr. who she loved and adored more than life itself. She also has numerous nieces and nephews throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Visitation is at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and Cemetery at 6900 Lawndale Avenue on Wednesday, January 9th from 12:00 – 2:00, funeral service and graveside service begin at 2:00.
