I’m Chris’s niece.. I will forever cherish the memories I have, there are way too many to list.. but one of my favorite that I would love to share is when my Tio took my cousins and I to an art store after a trip to the art museum and bought me an art book that taught you how to draw portraits.. a little over 20 years later, I still have that book today.. he not only  shared his love with art but also inspired me and motivated me.. several weeks ago that’s all we would talk about, art… it’s just so beautiful , his love for art and his desire to share that with the world & to inspire others around him.. I just wanted to share that story because it impacted my life and he was truly such an amazing artist.. 
also I’ll always remember my tio as an amazing cook! .. ok tio I love you so much & we will all miss you ❤️ you’re forever in our hearts!

Hello, my name is Alex Herrera and I am Cris's co-worker. My deepest condolences to his entire family. I just wanted to share with you that Cris was a co-worker who we are almost the same age and we always talked about the balloon club and the day of his Accident, I greeted him as I always do without thinking that that day would be the last. time,

Thank you for everything Tío. Thank you for sharing your artistic and creative passions with me and my cousins growing up. I remember you would take us to the art museum, the statutes, and we would take sketch books to draw what we liked. Thank you for sharing your amazing cooking - when we were kids you would make this delicious breakfast nd me nd my cousins would run to the kitchen for the golden pancake or the holy pancake. Thank you for spreading your joy, charisma, and humor with us. Calling us lil gorilla heads would crack us up full of laughter. Thank you for sharing your music with us, thank you for always motivating us, and so much more. I love you Tío.

What can I say… I’m your little sister.  I have so many stories, fond memories and so much more that I could talk about.  But that would take forever.  Just know that I love you with all my heart and always will.  I will never get over this and I will just have to get stronger each day like I have done before.  And do know that I will always love, care and be there for my SIL , nieces and nephew.  🙏🏽❤️

Losing Chris feels like losing a brother of mine because we've known each other since elementary school. I'll always treasure the memories we made together, even during the times we got into trouble when we were young. It was an honor to know him, and see how our Heavenly Father blessed him as we grew older. Chris and Yessenia created a beautiful family together, and I know he is so proud of all of you.

Though Chris has transitioned to the place the Lord has made for him, he will never be forgotten. He had a kind heart, and that gives me peace. We will always celebrate his life and all the joy he brought to those around him.

I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May you find comfort and strength in each other and in the love and memories you shared with Chris.

Tio Chris is my dad’s best friend so that means he was a great tio to me. Anything he ever saw me do he was always supportive and just always made me laugh. He was pictured here at my first Texans game and I’m so happy to have met him and his family. I told him he gave me 3 beautiful talented sisters growing up. And down the line throughout high school our lives kept intertwining because I met the beautiful Claire and Amaris.  You know Northside is a small community but he was such a huge influence and him and Tia yess were there for a lot of happy memories. Don’t worry tio, we will hold it down here. I know you having a ball in heaven we will always love you and your energy will be missed 💗
