CJ was born September 25, 1991 in Pasadena Texas to his parents Christopher Jason Escalante Sr. and Elizabeth Cheyenne Escalante.
CJ was raised and grew up in Sagemont in Houston, Texas. He attended Houston and Pasadena primary and intermediate schools. CJ graduated Dobie High School. CJ successfully completed graduation at San Jacinto College. CJ successfully completed the Alvin Community College - Law Enforcement Academy.
CJ then enlisted in the United States Air Force becoming a Senior Airman where he served his country with integrity achieving Veteran Status, honorably discharged and retired.
CJ left behind a legacy of profound love, humility and kindness.
CJ was a loving son, protective big brother, and doting uncle who brought warmth to his whole family.
CJ was a Simple Man, who loved his Lord. He was unique, had a big heart and gentle soul, Intelligent, Strong, soft-spoken, humble and kind. He moved through the world with a quiet grace. His kindness was a steady comfort to everyone who knew him, and his gentle presence had a way of making those around him feel safe, valued, and deeply loved.
Though his time with us was far too short, the depth of the love he shared will remain in our hearts forever. His spirit lives on in all moments, shared laughs through smiles and tears, and the enduring bonds of the family he will be missed by. CJ’s life is a beautiful reminder of the power of a gentle heart, and he will be truly missed beyond measure by all those who knew him, enjoyed life’s experiences, and loved him as we knew him.
CJ is Survived by his father Christopher Jason Escalante Sr., mother Elizabeth Cheyenne Escalante, sister Mariah Salania Escalante, niece Marilena Christene Escalante, many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
CJ is preceded in death by his Great Grandmother Dorothy Kelly, Grandmother Anita Lopez Gonzalez, and Grandmother Peggy Ann Jones.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on October 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on October 19, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will be follow at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on October 19, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
