Ciara Dawn Townsend, age 33, of Cypress, Texas, was born on June 25, 1992, and passed away on June 9, 2026. She will be remembered as a beloved and cherished daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend—someone whose genuine spirit and steady strength left a lasting mark on all who knew her.
Ciara’s life was defined by compassion expressed in quiet, consistent ways. With a kind heart and a thoughtful nature, she cared about others more than herself, offering comfort and help with an honesty that made people feel safe and seen. Her resilience showed not in grand gestures, but in the faithful way she continued to show up for those she loved, carrying herself with generosity and grace.
A devoted caregiver by nature, Ciara found meaning in tending to others, including making care packages for sick family members and friends in need. These acts reflected her spiritual outlook and her belief that love should be practical—felt not only in words, but in what is done when someone is hurting.
Above all, Ciara’s heart belonged to her family. She shared a loving and supportive marriage with her husband, Mario Lanza, and found profound joy in her son, Milo Lanza, the love of her life. She also loved all of her nephews and nieces, caring deeply for them and holding them close in her heart. Those who knew her understood that she truly had a beautiful soul—one that gave freely and loved sincerely.
In faith and in hope, her family holds to the belief that death is not the end of the world, but the beginning of eternal life. The families are grateful for the many people who loved her, stood with her, and continue to carry her memory forward.
Ciara is survived by her mother, Sheila Townsend; her father, Rodney Snell Jr.; her sister, Monica Rey; her sister, Rayna Snell; her brother, Rodney Snell III; her husband, Mario Lanza; her son, Milo Lanza; her father-in-law, Mario Lanza Sr.; her mother-in-law, Jessica Lanza; and loved all her aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cody Brodell, Leonardo Lanza, Kevin Purnell, Eduardo Lanza, Enrique Lanza, and Jason Rey.
