Clara Isabel Mayora, age 85, passed away on August 21, 2026. Born on November 30, 1940, in Santa Ana, El Salvador, Clara lived in Spring, Texas, surrounded by family and friends. She will be remembered with deep love, admiration, respect, and enduring gratitude by all who knew her.
Clarita was a beloved and cherished presence—steadfast in faith, devoted to those she loved, and compassionate in the quiet, consistent ways that matter most. Her life reflected resilience and hard work, carried with grace and strength, and she met each season with a brave spirit that never lost its warmth. Kind-hearted and generous, she made others feel seen and cared for, and her gentle humor could brighten a room and ease a heavy day.
She was known as a loving grandmother, aunt, and dear friend. Clarita’s hands were rarely still—her care could be felt in the stitches of her sewing, the comfort of her cooking, and the joy she found in music. She loved to travel, and she delighted in singing and dancing, embracing life with a grateful heart and a steady, faithful soul.
Clara is survived by her children: Elba Sundheim (Ivan Sundheim), Dinora Mendoza (Edgardo Mendoza), Ana Lorena Diaz (Jose Diaz), Leslie Posadas (Javier Posadas), and Jesse Castilleja (Yesenia Castilleja). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Yesenia, Candice, Jessica, Cesar, Amy, Tatiana, Elbi Lorena, Natalie, Marco, Javier Jr., Esai, Jesse Jr, and Jaime; her great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Isaiah, Alfredo, Sebastian, Selena, Sofia, Carlos Rafael, Luca, Noel, Joey, and Mia Isabel; and her great-great-grandson: Elias. She is further survived by her siblings: Roberto Vasquez, Luis Navarro, Oscar Linares, Victoria Linares, and Patricia Linares. Clara was preceded in death by her mother, Transito E. Zuniga, and her husband, Eugenio G. Mayora.
Pallbearers will be Cesar Gochez, Marco Moscoso, Javier Posadas, Isaiah Madrid, Esai Posadas, and Jesse Castilleja.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on August 28, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on August 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on August 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
Clara Isabel Mayora, de 85 años, falleció el 21 de agosto de 2026. Nació el 30 de noviembre de 1940 en Santa Ana, El Salvador. Residía en Spring, Texas, rodeada del cariño de su familia y amistades. Será recordada con profundo amor, admiración y respeto, y con una gratitud perdurable por parte de todos quienes tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.
Quienes la amaron la recuerdan como una mujer entrañable y muy querida, de fe firme y corazón bondadoso. Le gustaba viajar, cantar y bailar, y en esas alegrías sencillas compartió momentos que su familia atesorará siempre. Fue una abuela amorosa, una tía presente y una amiga entrañable, dedicada con ternura a quienes la rodeaban.
Le sobreviven sus hijos: Elba Sundheim (Ivan Sundheim), Dinora Mendoza (Edgardo Mendoza), Ana Lorena Diaz (Jose Diaz), Leslie Posadas (Javier Posadas) y Jesse Castilleja (Yesenia Castilleja). También la sobreviven sus nietos: Yesenia, Candice, Jessica, Cesar, Amy, Tatiana, Elbi Lorena, Natalie, Marco, Javier Jr., Esai, Jesse Jr, Jaime; y sus bisnietos: Alexandra, Isaiah, Alfredo, Sebastian, Selena, Sofia, Carlos Rafael, Luca, Noel, Joey, Mia Isabel; así como su tataranieto: Elias. Además, le sobreviven sus hermanos: Roberto Vasquez, Luis Navarro, Oscar Linares, Victoria Linares y Patricia Linares. Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, Transito E. Zuniga, y su esposo, Eugenio G. Mayora y cinco hermanos.
