

Clarence dedicated many years to providing for his family, working his way up to the status of tug boat captain. He then continued as a skilled welder for American Plant Food and Ideal Cement. A incredibly proud patriot, he bravely served his country as a Marine from 1956 to 1960. Following his military service, Alvie continued his commitment to his community, serving as a police officer with the Jacinto City Police Department achieving the position of Assistant Chief of Police and then later with Harris County Precinct 2 as a warrant process officer.
Beyond his professional life, Alvie was actively involved in the Masonic Lodge for an amazing 60 years. He was also a devoted member of the Arabia Shriners of Houston, finding great fulfillment in their fellowship and charitable work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Alvie Estes Sr. and Gladys (Roberts) Estes, and his beloved son, David Allen Estes.
The Family would like to deeply thank the incredible care he was given in his final months and days by the fine staff of Serenity Gardens Memory Care Facility of Deer Park.
Alvie is survived by his immediate family, who will deeply miss him: his loving wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Ann Estes; his daughter, Alann Estes Worley; and his son-in-law, Paul Taggart Worley. Grandchildren; Paul Tucker Worley and David Dylan Worley.
Services to celebrate Alvie's life will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home; 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas on Friday, May 16th at 2:00pm, with a Masonic and military honors interment with reception to immediately follow.
