CD loved his children the best he could and over the last 34 years, he was an active member of AA. He loved to do crossword puzzles and tell dad jokes and always had a matter of fact comment on any problem presented to him. He was an ace at trivia, loved to read books about history and then torture his children with random history facts and meals made with spam. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tomball and he loved God and his grandchildren with all his heart and volunteered at vacation bible school to hand out snow cones when his granddaughter Sierra was little. He loved coffee and would drive hours to try a fancy cup and he helped others more than he could ever know and will be missed as he attends “the big meeting in the sky”.
CD graduated from Allen Military Academy and then attended University of Houston where he received a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science. Upon graduation, he worked security at Hughes Tools, was a dispatcher at Spring Valley Police Department and later an Officer of the West University Police Department. He served as the Police Chief of Tomball for 3 years, ventured into corporate security and finally served as a Sr. Investigator with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services until his retirement.
CD is preceded in death by his parents Inez and CD Holditch Sr. and his sister Peggy Gilger. CD is survived by his sister Evelyn Holditch and children Michael Holditch, James Holditch, Jane Benson and Amy Holditch as well as his grandchildren Hope Holditch, Jakob Holditch, Sierra Hearen and Ryan Forrester.
