

Possessed Magnificent and overwhelming faith in the promise of His Lord Jesus Christ, (John 14:2). This precious faith was a controlling factor on his life, and was most evident as he was a minister for the Church of Christ for 72 years. Clarence was born December 13, 1926 and passed away April 25, 2022 at the age of 95.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Lavonne Olson, along with his brother Charles Olson and sister Alice Jean Ford. Survivors are sons Steven Olson, John Thomas Olson, Brother Fred Olson, grandchildren, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and family members. Clarence received his Bachelors degree from Abelene Christian College in 1949, and later a Masters degree from Prairie View A&M.
He retired from the Houston Independent school district as administrator in the vocational Education department. Along with many hobbies, Clarence loved tending his vegetable garden and fig trees.
Traveling the world over with his wife Lavonne was always exciting for him, and also he also enjoyed sharing travels with his brothers Fred and Charles along with their wives.
He will be missed by all the knew him.
A visitation for Clarence will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Monday, May 2, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A graveside service will occur Monday, May 2, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
