She was preceded in death by her husband Jorge avina, children Leticia Cuestas and Arturo Avina and her granddaughter Marianna Cuestas. She is survived by her children Jorge Avina, Maria de Lourdes Avina, and Alma Delia Avina Zaied along with her 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her 4 sisters and 1 brother along with many nieces and nephews.
She was an extremely strong hard-working woman all her life, taking great care of those around her. She was mother to many, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to those around her, who knew her as mami, ma, nana, abuelita, and wika.
An avid lover for gardening, knitting and cooking for her family, she enjoyed the outdoors but more than anything she delighted in visiting or talking with her small cadre of close friends and family.
Cleotilde was deeply loved by all and will never be forgotten.
