Clyde Wayne Cowan, age 84, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016. Born in Cairo, Illinois, he was a funny, loving family man, who had been a River Boat Captain with Canal Barge Company for many years. He served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Janice Cowan; great granddaughter, Payten Elizabeth Bloom; and sister, Louise. Survived by children, Carla Wilkerson and husband James, Dana Furzland, Tracy Eytcheson, Randol Cowan and wife Norma Williams, and Kristen Brzymialkiewicz and husband Robert; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way; sister, Loretta Horter and husband Ronnie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
