Clyde Stanley

Clyde Stanley, born May 31, 1923 to Henry and Willie Stanley in Glenmora, Louisiana, passed away December 21, 2010 in Spring, Texas after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Stanley is survived by his wife, Joy Elaine Stanley (Johnson); children, Donna K. Yasoni, Albert B. Stanley, Barry K. Stanley, and Lori J. Maricle; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and many close friends from his church, military service, and business.

Mr. Stanley served in the United States Navy during World War II, and owned a concrete design business in Houston, Texas. He was a faithful member of Berean Baptist Church in Houston.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Heights Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010. A committal service with military honors will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. Those wishing to attend the committal service should meet at Houston National Cemetery in the parking lot behind the administration building at 10:45 a.m.
