

On August 3, 1941 in Houston, Texas, Connie Elizabeth Spence was born to the pound parentage of the late Frank Sr. and Ruby Mae Howard. She was the first of six children, five brothers, four whom preceded her in death. Danny Howard, Billy Howard, Melvin Howard and Frank Howard Jr. She was educated in the Houston Independent School District where she came out of Booker T. Washington High School. Those who knew her knew that she was a strong warrior for Christ under the leadership of Overseer Chris C. Taylor, Pastor, Wings of Faith Ministry in Houston, Texas. She was blessed to have three beautiful children, two to her first husband, Sammie Moore Sr., a daughter and a son and a daughter from her late husband, Leodell Spence Jr. who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Sammie Lee Moore Jr. (KeKe); two daughters, Cheryl Renee Taylor (Chris) and ReShena Lillian Moore; ten grandkids, LaShanda Davis, Trameika Moore, Terrance Moore, DeMoine Jones, De’Vonta Curvey, Christopher Spence.
