Corina C. Pizzini

She was born in Newgulf, Texas on January 3, 1936 to Juan Cortinas and Maria Fuentes. She was married to Gilbert Pizzini on December 3, 1960. Corina worked at Vector Cablegram for 8 years and Foley’s/Macy’s for 26 years, retiring in 2001. She had a passion for her friends, family, coworkers and neighbors. She loved to cook and entertain. To know her was to love her.

She is survived by her children; Mary Helen Rivera (Daniel), Ruben Villarreal (Virginia), Roy Villarreal (Martha) & Elizabeth Gipson (Ronald), her siblings; Richard Cortinas, Julia Aguirre & Mary Borrego, 16 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, John Cortinas Jr. and Virginia Guerra.

Serving as pallbearers will be Royce Villarreal, Randy Villarreal, John Oscar Villarreal, Gilbert Villarreal, Alex Vaeza, Roel Garcia, James Cortinas, and Jordyn Garcia.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Shepard, Roy Shepard, Danny Shepard, Josh Zertuche, Sean Martinez, Max Garcia, Tex Garcia, Mr. Louis Reyna Sr., Izzy Gomez, Christian Zertuche, Simon Pizzini, and Archie Pizzini.

The family would like to thank Altus Hospice, Dr. Dryden, Dr. Sahay and her other doctors for their excellent care.

For visiting hours, please join us from either 4pm-6pm or 7pm-9pm on Tuesday, July 21st. Each session will be limited to 50 guests per regulations surrounding Covid-19 procedures. We appreciate your understanding.
