Cornie Marie Miffleton Meador

Cornie was born in Georgetown, TX of Charles and Ruby Miffleton in 1931. She is a graduate of San Saba HS and the Univ. of Texas and was tapped into Pi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She served school districts in Odessa and Houston, TX as a librarian until her retirement at Stratford HS. After retirement she found great pleasure in her grandkids, traveling the world with family and friends, and investing.

Cornie was preceded in death by her husband Bruce D. Meador in 1984. She is survived by her children, Mark and wife, Lori, John and wife, Sonya, Cyndi and husband, Jeff Oppel, Paul and wife, Angie; grandchildren, Brittany, Sara, Cassie, Chris and wife, Jessica, Crysta, JoJo, Josh, Nathan and Sam; great-grandchildren, Jada Lynn and Zachary.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, Nov 23, 2012 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday , Nov 24, 2012 at Fair Haven UMC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Marfans Foundations or to a charity of choice.
