Cynthia Kay Pearce Cannon, 65, of Houston, TX (formerly of Deer Park, TX) passed away on December 16, 2022 at Houston Hospice surrounded by family and friends. Cindy was born to Robert Arden Pearce, Jr. and Annie Laurie Meadows Pearce on September 19, 1957 in Baytown, TX. She graduated from Deer Park High School in 1976. Cindy married the love of her life, Randy Louis Cannon October 18, 2003 and they lived their life together in Porter, TX.
Cindy worked as a project manager, right-hand woman, and all-around boss for TriArc. She never turned down an opportunity to help someone in need and stepped up to volunteer for any charitable event or cause, especially those that helped veterans, children and the homeless. Anyone that knew Cindy would tell you that all you had to do was ask, “Would you like to volunteer for…. ?“ and she would answer, “Yes!”. She would be the first one there and the last to leave. Cindy fiercely loved and protected her family and friends, especially the children that passed through her life. She made the children in the family feel so special by spoiling them with thoughtful gifts, handmade or otherwise. She was always there to celebrate them and support every milestone no matter how large or small. Her generous heart affected more people than she would ever know. Cindy’s bright light, her love for people and her adventurous spirit will live in our memories forever. We are all better for having been a part of her journey.
She was preceded in death by husband, Randy Louis Cannon; father Robert Arden Pearce Jr.; and mother Annie Laurie Meadows Pearce.
She is survived by stepson Randy (Jennifer) Cannon, Jr; sister Laurie (Paul) Hamman, sister Julie (John) Williams, brother Robert (MaryBeth) Pearce III; nieces Carrie Breneman, Deborah (Heather) Newsome, Kahla (Matt) Malinsky, Misty (Tre) Wagers, and Kristin (Ryan) Epps; nephews Robert (Niki) Pearce IV, Ryan Pearce, Jordan Williams, Troy (Jamie) Hamman, and Chris (Carleen) Hamman. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of bonus grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many loving friends.
A memorial celebration will be held on Wednesday January 4, 2023 at 2 pm, Chapel of the Angels, Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023. Visitation at 1:00 pm, service at 2:00 pm, reception to follow.
