Daniel Edwin Brogee Sr. 1930-2019, age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. Daniel was born in Lima, Ohio to Brookie Elizabeth Smith and Martin William Brogee. He had 2 siblings Robert and Evelyn Jean Brogee. After serving in the United States Marine Corp, Dan married his love Maria Socorro Castorena. They moved to Houston, Texas where they built their beautiful lives together. Dan and Maria have been married for 55 years and have 3 children, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Daughter Maria Elizabeth Brogee married to Enrique Garza who have 6 children Enrique, Jacqueline, Mercedes, Brianda, Claudia and Cindy. His son, Danny Edwin Brogee Jr. Married to Alejandra Vasquez who have 3 children Arianna, twin sons Daniel Arron and Alejandro Julian, and Susie Brogee married to Andres Acosta who have 3 children Luke, Solimar and Jude. Dan had a very fulfilling life. He served in the United States Marines, 1st Division, He retired from the US postal Service after 33 years. He played Football during high school and his 4 years in the Military. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree council 2917, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #63, Lorenzo de Zavala Lodge #1397, and the National Association of Letter Carriers #283. Dan was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He was an Amazing Husband, Father and overall Great Man! We will miss his kind heart and sweet spirit.
Please join us to celebrate his amazing life. Visitation Friday January 11th from 5-8pm, Rosary at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home 13102 North Frwy. Houston,Tx. Funeral Mass January 12th at 1pm. Services will be held at 1pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 4918 Cochran St. Houston,Tx. Committal Service Brookside Memorial Park 13747 Eastex Frwy.
