Daniel Joseph Hebior

Daniel was born in Waukegan, Illinois, to Joseph and Helen (née Ornatek) Hebior. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later enjoyed a long career as a Merchant Mariner with the Seafarers International Union.

His career gave him the opportunity to see the world, and Daniel truly embraced every moment of it. He visited 51 countries, gathering stories, memories, and experiences that he loved sharing with family and friends. With a smile, he would often say:

“I got paid to travel the world.”

Among his many travels were trips to Acapulco, Mexico, where he met Antonia Juarez, who later became his wife. From their marriage came Daniel’s beloved son, Daniel Hebior. He took great pride in watching his son grow and build a family of his own.

One of Daniel’s greatest joys later in life was being a grandfather to Daniella Hebior and Evelyn Mary Hebior. He adored his granddaughters and treasured every moment he was able to spend with them.

Daniel loved traveling, fishing, spending time with his family, and sharing the many stories of a life filled with adventure.

He is deeply loved by his family, and his absence will be felt beyond measure.

Daniel is lovingly survived by his son, Daniel Hebior; his daughter-in-law, Julie Figueroa Hebior; his beloved granddaughters, Daniella Hebior and Evelyn Mary Hebior; along with many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen (née Ornatek) Hebior; his brothers, Joseph Hebior, Jr., Andrew Hebior, and Eugene Hebior; and his sisters, Theresa Zdanowicz and Lucille Clark, all of Waukegan, Illinois.

Daniel lived a remarkable life filled with service, adventure, family, and love.

Fair winds and following seas, Dad. You traveled the world, gave us a lifetime of stories, and left us with a lifetime of love. Your journey was extraordinary, and your memory will remain forever in our hearts. You will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten.

Daniel nació en Waukegan, Illinois, hijo de Joseph y Helen (de soltera Ornatek) Hebior. Sirvió con orgullo a su país en el Ejército de los Estados Unidos y posteriormente disfrutó de una larga trayectoria como marino mercante con el Sindicato Internacional de Marinos.

Una de las mayores alegrías de Daniel durante sus últimos años fue ser abuelo de Daniella y Evelyn. Adoraba a sus nietas y atesoraba cada momento que podía compartir con ellas.

A Daniel le encantaba viajar, pescar, pasar tiempo con su familia y compartir las numerosas historias de una vida llena de aventuras.

Su familia lo ama profundamente y sentirá su ausencia más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar.

Daniel deja para honrar su memoria a su hijo, Daniel; su nuera, Julie; sus amadas nietas, Daniella y Evelyn; así como a numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas y familia.

Daniel fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres, Joseph y Helen (de soltera Ornatek) Hebior; sus hermanos, Joseph Hebior Jr., Andrew Hebior y Eugene Hebior; y sus hermanas, Theresa Zdanowicz y Lucille Clark, todos de Waukegan, Illinois.

Daniel vivió una vida extraordinaria, llena de servicio, aventuras, familia y amor.

Que Dios te reciba en sus brazos y te conceda el descanso eterno, papá. Recorriste el mundo, nos regalaste una vida llena de historias y nos dejaste un legado infinito de amor. Tu recuerdo vivirá por siempre en nuestros corazones. Te extrañaremos profundamente, te amaremos siempre y jamás te olvidaremos.
