Janie, I'm hopin you remember me. My name is Ernest Trevino we went to high school together and at the 40th yr. Reunion I was told of the loss of Daniel. I as so very sorry for he was a good friend that I first met at Mason Park as a kid. I last spoke to him about 3 yrs. Ago. I was workin downtown directing traffic. He pulled over his co. Vehicle and we shook hands and hugged and just ranted on about life, family and kids. 10 minutes later we shook hands again and he drove off. It was good to of seen him then after so many years. I was told of his passing on Nov. 2nd. 2013. The day of the reunion. It is now Nov. 4th. And I feel like I was just told 10 minutes ago. He was a good man and a food friend. And I'm glad I was able to see him when I did. Again I am so sorry for your loss and may God bless you and your family. ET

To Janie and Family-

You also don't know me but I have known Danny since 2003 and first met him at the Texans Tailgates in the Yellow Lot at Reliant. I only saw him during football season as we set up our tailgate parties close to each other in the Yellow Lot. He was always smiling and brought good conversation and vibes to our tailgate party. He will be missed by all of us at No Limit Tailgaters.

He was a great person and friend and our condolences go out to you and your family.

I just found out today as I was asking a CPE lineman about him at a job this morning, and I was deeply saddened to hear the news.

Janie I just learned of Daniel's passing. I'm not sure if you remember me or not, but we worked together at Center Point Energy (HL&P) under Marie Murry, Vi Howe and Virginia Stovall. We were stationed at the CRT Desk. You, myself and Thelma Moreno. So sorry to hear of your loss! I lost my husband in 1995. Hope all is well!

To Janie and family,

You don't know me. Dan was a friend I got to know at Under the Volcano. He was a terrific guy, always very interesting and interested in everything, a great conversationalist with a terrific sense of humor, and and he was well liked by all the regulars and the bar staff. When we got the news, we were all in shock.

I couldn't come to the funeral, but I will remember Dan fondly, and we his buddies will raise a glass to his memory often.

Janie, our love goes out to you and your family. Danny loved you and all the family. He was such a great friend to me and my family. I can remember when he told me you would be working for the airlines and he was kind of worried. I told him with all the work you do at the church and the way you have handled all of the family that the new job would probably be a break. He just gave me that smile. He knew how wonderful you are! Lots of love, The James Family

Danny would love it that you made us happy at the service with the slide show and Stevie Wonder. He would have beamed at how we got to see how beautiful and talented his family is. We, his work family, love him because he was such a kind soul. And that smile of his could light up the room on the dullest of days. He will be deeply missed.
