The lost of a friend of so many years is so hard to take, and the loss is so meaningful, as we were only able to see each other on rare occasion since going to UT together and living in the same neighborhood earlier.  I wish so very much I could have been with him during his illness to talk our politics, which he loved.  He was a special friend, a great person, a strong individual, and will be remembered all of my days.

We were Best Friends and shared many Great times together. Our summers in Durango; your visits to the Hill Country; our tennis in Houston and New Orleans; and many other trips to numerous to list.

The first time we at Shell Oil in 1968 our Friendship began and you became like a brother to me. I will miss you Good Buddy. May you now rest in peace. I'll not say goodbye, rather "til we meet again".

Dan was a great guy and a real pleasure to work with. He was always cheerful, and always had kind words. Dan will be greatly missed by many.

You were a very humble and generous family friend. I have fond memories of your visits with our family and enjoyed catching you up with the thoughts and philosophies that I had at various stages in life. You were never one to judge but rather a listening ear willing to assist. You will be missed my friend but not forgotten. They are receiving an amazing soul above.
