

Daniel was born on November 4, 1934, in Richmond, Texas, to Joseph Augustine and Christine Goerig Spacek. He graduated from St. Thomas Catholic School and went on to dedicate over 35 years of service as a longshoreman and superintendent with the International Longshoremen's Association Local #24.
Daniel was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and deep love for his family. In his free time, he enjoyed shrimping, fishing, and traveling. He was also actively involved in many charitable organizations, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
He is survived by his children: Debra Spacek Schwarz (Randy), Cynthia Abowd Ellis, and Daniel E. Spacek (Cathy). Daniel leaves behind a legacy of love in his 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory dearly.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Augustine Spacek and Christine Goerig Spacek; his brother, Joseph David Spacek; his second wife, Joyce Cook Spacek and first wife Mary Jane Spacek; his son, Daniel Arthur Spacek Jr.; and his grandson, Jason Wayne Wilson.
Daniel’s life was a testament to hard work, compassion, and family devotion. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pastor Jon Henson will officiate the ceremony.
