

Danna graduated from John H. Reagan High School in 1962, attended Southwestern University, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She worked in Houston for 36 years in the accounting department of Texaco and subsequent entities; Star Enterprises, Motiva, and Shell Oil, retiring in 2002. Danna was a long time member of Norhill Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sisters, Joan Watt and husband Gary, and Debbie Assad; nieces & nephews, Katie Assad Jefferies and husband Andy, Betsy Assad, Daniel Watt and wife Summer, Jason Watt and wife Katy, and six precious great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be at Heights Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. A Graveside Service wiil be held at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston 77060 at 10 AM on Thursday, November 3, 2016, followed by a Celebration of Life at Heights Funeral Home at Noon. Danna’s faith in God and positive outlook helped her overcome unfathomable health crises to make her known as the “Energizer Bunny” by her family and friends. She always said, “Every day is a gift from God, that is why it’s called the present.” In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
