Dannette was educated in the New Orleans public school system;
she attended Durham Jr High and Carver Senior High schools. She
Began her career as a cafeteria worker at the same high school she
attended. She married Albert in 1972, and She and Albert went into
the catering business where they provided excellent services for many gatherings.
Her first marriage bored four children, Connie (deceased), Danita
“Tita’, Calvin III and Darryl. As an adult she was surrounded by her
family of zealous Jehovah’s Witnesses and in 1969 she too dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses.
She enjoyed a wide range of the ministry, conducting Bible Studies,
auxiliary pioneering, assisting where ‘the need was great’ and street
witnessing with many spiritual friends.
After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, she and Albert relocated to Houston, Texas and joined the Braeswood Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. There she continued a close relationship with her family and spiritual brothers and sisters. She enjoyed lasting friendships with her many newfound friends in the Houston community.
Dannette adored family, cooking, baking and she delighted in
crafting, decorating and caring for her amazing plants.
