Danny G. Pineda is now at peace in the arms of his Lord. He was born on December 6, 1943 in Houston, Texas and passed away on August 29, 2015. He embodied the word 'fighter,' battling illness the last 10 years of his life. His strength and perseverance were known to all that surrounded him and supported him the last few years. Danny could always be counted on for being the best dressed, having the best humor and being the most loyal friend you could have.
Danny had a long career in the Houston restaurant industry, working for the El Chico franchise, Fiesta Guadalajara, and El Palenque in Spring, Texas. He loved what he did, and was dedicated to his profession. He took great pride in being a faithful manager to his customers and employees.
His most rewarding title, however, was that of husband, father and grandfather. Danny placed his wife, sons and grandchildren above all else. He is preceded in death by his father, John Pineda; mother Rachel Mireles and step-father Fernando Mireles, and brother Richard Pineda. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Gracie Pineda, his son Daniel Pineda Jr. and his wife Dalia; his son John Pineda and his wife Claudia; his grandchildren that were the light of his life, Daniel Joseph Pineda Jr., Renee Nicole Pinter, Dani Celeste Pineda, Adriana Aguilar, John Christian Pineda Jr., Pricilla Longoria, and Paulina Olascoaga; his great grandchildren, Lila Velez, Avriana and Danica Pinter, Isabella and Thalia Collins, Abel and Adan Longoria; his brothers, Johnny and Bobby Pineda, his sisters, Amparo Rodriguez, Bertha Hernandez, Estela Nuncio, along with many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 1 from 5-9pm, and funeral services will be held Wednesday September 2 at 2pm.
