Darrell Dewayne Ray

On May 9, 1977 in Houston, Texas a bouncing baby boy was born to Hewen Pete Humphrey and Barbara Gordon Ray. They named him Darrell Dewayne. He was reared in Houston, Texas and attended Forest Brook High School in North Forest ISD. Darrell was a fun spirited young man whom loved to spend time with his family, travel and laugh. Darrell was married on December 2004, to Christina Davis and to this union two children were born. He worked proudly for Austin County Sheriff's Department for the past three years until his untimely death. Darrell was a man of God. He was an active member of Fall Brook Church, where he was under the leadership of Pastor Michael Pender. On July 15, 2006 he rededicated his life to Christ, and was baptized. Darrell is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Juanita Waddell, Glen Gordon (uncle) and his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Hewen Humphrey. He leaves to cherish his memory his lovely wife Christina and their children Cynai, Darrell II and Darreon; his parents Hewen Humphrey and Barbara Ray. His siblings: Sheila Posada (Eduardo), Jerwayne Ray (Katrina), Gloria Jones, Deborah Humphrey, Donna Jackson (Sherman), Daryl Humphrey (Veronica), Regina Campbell (Roscoe), Donald Humphrey (Debra) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
