David Walter Currey, 77, passed away on March 4, 2017. The viewing will be on Tuesday, March 7th from 5-8PM at Forest Park Lawndale. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 8th at Forest Oaks Baptist Church, 1845 Forest Oaks Dr., Houston, TX 77017 with Pastor Kevin Barefield and Rev. Blair Montgomery of the Houston Police Department officiating. Mr. Currey is preceded in death by his parents: Walter & Marie Currey; sisters: Ether Jordan & Martha Alexander. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sally Currey; sister, Clara Woods of Bossier City, La.; children: Cheryl & Larry Engel of Fulshear, Deborah O'Barr & Don Martinez of Huntsville, David R. & Mona Currey of Spring; seven grandchildren & twelve great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, some friends may choose to make a monetary donation to Forest Oaks Baptist Church, where David's heart has always been.
