David’s voice could absolutely mesmerize me, especially at Good Friday services. He also had a whimsical side . He, along with Stephanie and Susan Wales sang a ‘figaro’ parody for Minute Maid’s Barbers In Sevilles at Mardi Gras festivities in Galveston several years ago. RIP.

I will never forget David. His beautiful voice filled the church and our hearts. He will be missed!

David was always such a kind and caring soul. One of my great joys as a child was his powerful and dramatic bass voice filling the chapel at St.Marks. Thank you for the sweet memories David. May God bless you and your family during this time and I hope Heaven has a choir.

Dear David was a fixture at St . Mark's, preparing the flower-covered cross for Easter, filing music, choir practice -
I can't imagine him not there. I said once that I often thought during communion service about all my friends in other churches, taking communion at the same hour I was, and that communion was not only with God but us with each other. He, the preacher's kid, was nodding vigorously and said he had thought often the same thought. Now he is in closer communion with lots of loved ones and the Lord he served. I haven't seen him in years, but he still leaves a void.
