

David Thomas Rossman of Huntsville, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 6th at the age of 86. He was born on March 12, 1939, at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Where he grew up with his two brothers and sister.
David worked as a contractor with his father in Rockport, Texas where they built and remodeled many homes. He married Elizabeth Dishongh, the love of his life, in June 1989. Together they continued to build and/or remodel homes and a few post offices. Dad loved working – he retired many times.
He was passionate about life and loved to dance. At 40 he learned to ski and at 70 he began riding a motorcycle. He had many memorable rides with family and friends including Sturgis, Tennessee (Tail of the Dragon), Colorado, and Galveston. He was 86 for his last ride.
He is preceded in death by his parents Otto Herbert Rossman, Sr. and Elizabeth Bolser Rossman, his sister Rosemary Bradberry, his brother Otto Herbert Rossman, Jr., grandson Chase Stanley, and great granddaughter Elphaba Espinosa.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Rossman, his brother Jerry Rossman, daughters, Penny Espinosa (Raul), Virginia Jarzombek (Michael), DeeAine Watson (Alan), son John Willis (Traci). His grandchildren Lynda Lind (Myron), Edward Espinosa (Audrey), Gregory Jarzombek (Luyi), Cordell Jarzombek (Becca), Courtland Johnson, Emily Johnson, Ashley Meeks, and Chelsea Stanley. Great grandchildren Myles, Tyler, Mathilda, Jeremiah, Colette, Rosemary, Presley, and Theo. And many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank friends of BBV/Waterwood for their support, care and compassion they showed David and his family.
A visitation for David will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
