Davye Gladine Foster

Mrs. Foster was born in Thornton, Texas July 26, 1926 and passed away in Houston, Texas on December 4, 2017. She is predeceased by her Husband, Robert Jefferson Foster on July 29, 1970, her Maternal Grand Parents, John Dudley Spencer in 1965 and Carrie Woods Spencer in 1941, her Paternal Grand Father David(Davye) Driver, her Mother, Mrs. Ruby M. Driver and her Father Clifton Driver. She is also predeceased by First Cousins, Jessie, Donald and Robert Davis, Lois Prichard Gibson, Maecille Prichard Bradley, Chester Prichard, and Wayne Hunter. She is survived by her Cousins John N. Spencer, Carlyton Ray Spencer, William Dudley Spencer, Edison James Spencer, Johnnie Laverne Weyrich and 2nd Cousins Carolyn Louise Weyrich, Kathryn Gail Weyrich, Robert Weyrich and Deanna Lynn Maxwell, as well as 2nd Cousins Darryl Davis and Kevin Davis, including the children of Maecille Prichard Bradley, Lois Prichard Gibson and Wayne Hunter.

Mrs. Fosters’ Birth name was Gladine Marie Driver. However, on December 21, 1964, she legally changed her name to Davye Gladine Driver, apparently to honor her Paternal Grand Father, David(Davye) Driver.

Mrs. Foster enjoyed attending many events at Miller Outdoor Theater and Stages Theater.

Mrs. Foster had a very successful career working for Bechtel Corporation as a Secretary. She was so well thought of that after she contracted Cancer and had to retire due to the Cancer treatments, Bechtel generously provided her with full coverage medical insurance.

Funeral Services will be held 1:30 pm on Tuesday December 19, 2017 at the Chapel of Angels at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
