She later moved to Houston, TX, where she met her husband, James Lee Hemphill Jr. Deal, who had five children; Ronald Joseph Jackson, Royal Horatio Hemphill, Arnold Hemphill, Bridgett Hemphill Butler and Deborah Hemphill Butler. Deal enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandkids, watching The Young and the Restless and reading her Bible.
Deal leaves to cherish in her memories one son, Arnold Hemphill (Sandra Hemphill); two daughters, Deborah Hemphill Butler (Albert Butler Jr.) and Bridgett Hemphill Butler (Charles Butler); grandchildren, Tiffany Butler Myers (Derek Myers), Jeremy Butler, Roshell Jackson, Samerial Willis, Alex Hemphill, Kristen Jackson and Stacey Carter; thirteen great-grandkids; two great-great-grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
Deal is preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, brothers, husband James Hemphill, and two sons, Ronald and Royal.
