Diane Denise Janczak-Garcia 64, passed away August 14, 2023 in Houston, TX. She was born June 29, 1959 in Houston, TX to Harold Gene Janczak and Ora Mae (Dale) Scott. Diane was a longtime resident of Houston, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She is preceded in death by her mother. Left behind to cherish her memories are her father Harold Gene Janczak, husband Luis Garcia, children Dana M Garcia-Hazeslip and Louis Garcia II, grandson Jacob Hazeslip, sisters Jeanette J. Janczak & spouse Thomas Massey, Karin A. Janczak-Arthur, Sharon A. Janczak-Hewitt & spouse Curtis, and Lisa L. Janczak-Mata & spouse Hector.
Anyone that knew Diane knew she loved the color purple and butterflies, and that she would wear them often. She was very crafty. She loved to sew and make many different things. She enjoyed gardening and had quite the green thumb. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she probably owned about every nutcracker imaginable! She also loved cooking and finding good recipes, and would often send good ones to her sisters!
In addition to caring for her family and home, Diane was a career woman. Before falling ill she worked in Mortgage for over 30 years. Making great friends along the way. When no longer able to work she spent much of her time doing genealogy for her family and friends. She greatly enjoyed researching historical records.
Diane suffered with Polymyositis and many other health conditions for 13 years. Although we miss her dearly, we are thankful she is no longer suffering. She always remained faithful despite her condition. We know she knew she was loved by her family and friends. Now she can rest in peace in Gods hands.
A wake will take place Sunday, August 20th from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008. A service will take place Monday, August 21st at 10:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Avenue, Houston, TX 77007.
