Dolores Cisneros Ramirez, 90, of Houston, Texas, passed March 21, 2023 Dolores was born to Jesus Cisneros and Ma. del Refugio López on August 26, 1932, in Houston, Texas. She married Francisco Escobar Rodriguez, in 1950 and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised 9 children. Dolores was later remarried to Jose Luis Ramirez in 1977 and together they raised 1 child. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Jose Luis Ramirez, son’s Jose Luis Ramirez Jr., Paul Rodríguez, and Jesse Rodriguez. She is survived by her son Raul Rodriguez and wife Linda, daughter Stella Ochoa, son Frank Rodriguez and wife Ester, daughter Elizabeth Rodriguez, son Henry Rodriguez, son Thomas Rodriguez and wife Norma Y, and daughter Sylvia Romo and husband Efren; along by 8 nieces and 11 nephews, 25 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.
Dolores drew satisfaction from raising her ten children and making tamales and tortillas with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted Catholic and was very active in the church. She was happy to celebrate holiday meals and many milestones with as many family members that could fit in her warm and cozy home. She enjoyed dancing and singing to Vicente Fernandez and never failed to have her morning “medicine” shot. Dolores was heavily involved and supportive of her grandchildren’s activities. She will always be remembered for overcoming adversity and strength of presence.
